Loan deal
Luciano has joined Inter on loan with the Milan club having the option to make the deal permanent at the end of next season. Inter youngsters Franco Semioli and Alessandro Potenza will move to Chievo under co-ownership deals.
Big impression
The 28-year-old came to Italy in 1998, joining Bologna FC before being sold to Chievo where he made a big impact during the club's first ever campaign in Serie A two seasons ago.
Name change
However, he then gained notoriety when he admitted to using a false identity and the assumed name Eriberto. He had told Brazilian club Palmeiras SE that he was 16 years old in order to secure a contract, when in fact he was 20.
Worldwide ban
Luciano subsequently missed half of the 2002/03 season when a worldwide ban was imposed following his confession. Inter coach Héctor Cúper has been in the market for wide players and is expected to add a left winger to his squad before the Serie A season begins on August 30.
