Article body
Three-week absence
The Italian international sustained the injury in the closing minutes of the 1-0 defeat against AC Milan last Saturday but he remained on the pitch as Inter coach Héctor Cúper had already used his three substitutes. The 29-year-old Cannavaro is expected to be sidelined for about three weeks, another setback for Cúper who has already lost left-back Francesco Coco for more than a month with a similar injury.
Third in Serie A
Inter will visit Valencia on 22 April with a 1-0 lead from the first leg. They are third in Serie A, six points behind leaders Juventus FC, and will visit Brescia Calcio on Saturday also without Colombian international defender Iván Córdoba, who is suspended after his sending-off in the Milan derby.
