Caçapa out for Lyon

Olympique Lyonnais will have to do without defender Claudio Caçapa for their last UEFA Champions League match of this season.

Thigh injury
The Brazilian international defender suffered a thigh injury during training on Thursday and has now been ruled out for at least three weeks. Lyon take on Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Wednesday but can finish no better than third place in Group F, which means a place in the UEFA Cup rather than the second group stage.

Attacking play
Caçapa, 25, joined Lyon from Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro earlier this year, and has been touted as one of the best full-backs around. He is reknowned for his attacking play and defensive abilities.

Vital game
Lavras-born Caçapa will miss vital domestic matches too, including an important league game at AS Monaco on Saturday. Lyon lie third in Le Championnat, having won six of their first eleven matches.
