Expert predictions

Ian Holyman, Marseille reporter
Marseille made individual mistakes in the first leg — at both ends of the pitch — something they'll need to put right to progress. They have the ability to do just that, and will, as Feyenoord did in the first leg, enjoy unflinching backing. Jorge Sampaoli's side are down, but I don't think they're going out.

Derek Brookman, Feyenoord reporter
Emerging as winners from a pulsating, helter-skelter match in Rotterdam has given Arne Slot’s men a huge confidence boost. This is not a team built to sit back and absorb pressure, so expect the Eredivisie side to play as they did in the first leg: pressing all over the pitch and constantly looking to release runners behind the high Marseille defensive line.

What the coaches say

Jorge Sampaoli, Marseille coach: "We need to settle in their half of the pitch, dominate possession and take control of the game. We have done this throughout the season and this is why we are still in the race. If we get angry, we risk jeopardising our rhythm. We have our way of playing, and we have to respect it."

Arne Slot, Feyenoord coach: "There will be times when Marseille are more in control, then we have to defend more than last week. Low defending is part of it but we are not consciously going to hang in front of our goal. If we have to drop far back, we have the right players to strike on the counterattack."
