The Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) and its club Györi ETO FC have received disciplinary penalties from UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body, who met on 16 June 2011 in Nyon, in relation to club licensing violations in the 2010/11 season.
A case had been opened against Györi ETO FC, who played in the first, second and third qualifying and play-off rounds in the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League, as the club had not fulfilled all requested licensing criteria to take part in a UEFA club competition in 2010/11.
Consequently, Györi ETO FC have been disqualified from participating in one of the UEFA club competitions for which it may have qualified in the next three seasons (2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14). The club has also been fined €50,000.
The MLSZ has been fined €100,000 for violation of its duties in relation to the UEFA Club Licensing Regulations. Half of this amount (€50,000) is deferred for a probationary period of two years.
