Russia 0-1 China
Coach Igor Shalimov reflected on a "disappointing game" after the UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ finalists lost to ten-player China.

Defensive switch
Having drawn 0-0 against the same opponents three days ago, Russia had chances to break the deadlock early on, but it was Huana Liu who scored the only goal on 35 minutes. The scorer was sent off for a second bookable offence before the break, but Russia could not press their advantage, despite good chances for Elena Danilova and Natalya Barbashina. "It was disappointing game for us," said Shalimov. "After the dismissal China defended in number. We could not break though and we did not have many attempts on goal."

Russia: Todua, Sergaeva (Danilova, 46), Tsybutovich, Perceva, Suslova  (Shmachkova, 62), Morozova, Skotnikova, Rogova (Barbashina, 46), Savchenkova (Terekhova, 75), Petrova (Fomina, 46), Kurochkina, (Poriadina, 46).
