The UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) First Chamber has confirmed that Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) is in compliance with the going concern principle in the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League.

In December 2024, the CFCB First Chamber found that Olympique Lyonnais’ 2024 financial statements failed to comply with the core underlying principle of going concern. Consequently, the CFCB First Chamber decided to disqualify Olympique Lyonnais from 2024/25 UEFA club competitions unless it submitted by 30 January 2025 the said financial statements with a clean audit opinion from its auditors, i.e. without disclaimer, adverse or qualified opinion, in respect of going concern.

Olympique Lyonnais has taken the necessary actions and has fulfilled the condition imposed by the CFCB within the set deadline. Accordingly, the CFCB First Chamber has decided that the conditional disqualification will not take effect.

The CFCB First Chamber will now proceed to carefully monitor Olympique Lyonnais’ compliance with the financial sustainability requirements in accordance with the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Regulations.
