We are delighted to announce the launch of a new international programme that will help to develop the game all over the world.

The initiative, called UEFA Together, will deliver impactful and lasting projects through strategic partnerships between UEFA, our sister confederations and their member national associations.

Over the next three years, we will collaborate and forge closer bonds with each confederation, focusing our work on their key areas of development:

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) – closing the women’s football development gap in Asia
Confederation of African Football (CAF) – strengthening elite youth development pathways for girls across Africa
Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) – club licensing development and coach education
South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) – enhancing women in leadership roles and child safeguarding
Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) – high-performance management at association level & dedicated youth tournaments

"UEFA Together marks the beginning of a new era of collaboration between UEFA, our sister confederations and their member associations. Focusing on key areas of development, aligned with the confederations’ strategic objectives, will ensure lasting impact and legacy. It’s a win-win for global football."

Theodore Theodoridis, UEFA general secretary

Three ways UEFA Together will benefit the global game

Shared goals: tailor-made collaborations between UEFA and the confederations, which focus on their key areas of development.

Youth tournaments: Enabling talented male and female players to gain experience of different playing styles on the pitch while learning about other customs and cultures off it.

Knowledge-sharing: Using our renowned events to foster partnership projects between UEFA's member national associations and those of our sister confederations.

What's to come for UEFA Together in 2025?

UEFA Together will build on the success of its forerunner, UEFA Assist, which over the past seven years has laid the foundations for international development with a wide range of projects aimed at building capacity, improving infrastructure and sharing expert knowledge.

There is already lots to look forward to for UEFA Together in the coming months, with the programme set to burst into life across the globe early in 2025.

In January, the UEFA Together team will work with CAF to deliver additional activities linked to a special under-17 girls' tournament in Tanzania, providing not just playing opportunities but vital equipment and health education for youngsters from seven African nations.

In the spring, we will take our highly successful Women in Football Leadership Programme (WFLP) to South America, helping CONMEBOL prepare more potential female leaders for decision-making roles within the game.

Meanwhile in Europe, we will welcome girls' and boys' teams from around the world to two youth international tournaments, first in Türkiye and then at UEFA HQ in Switzerland, where elite players will go head-to-head on the pitch before bonding over educational and social sessions that will help them develop their cultural and social awareness.

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) staged pilot versions of these tournaments earlier this year, with youth international teams from all over the world coming together to compete.
