Omarov elected in Kazakhstan

Omarov has held leadership positions in various state and business organisations, most recently as chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"I would like to express my gratitude for the great honour bestowed upon me," he said. "We are all working towards a common goal, and this is not about individual personalities. I am confident that there will be results; it is just a matter of time."
