As part of its football development work, the NFF has enjoyed recent success with a new digital coaching platform, "tiim", which offers a toolbox of resources for coaches at all levels. The project has been partly funded by the UEFA HatTrick programme, which redistributes revenue from the men's EURO to each of Europe's 55 national football associations, helping them to invest in long-term development initiatives.

Klaveness, elected as the NFF's first female president in 2022, is a former Norway international and a graduate of the UEFA Executive Master for International Players (UEFA MIP) programme, which equips ex-professionals with the skills to help them move into a second career within football organisations after hanging up their boots.
