Gkagatsis takes up the role with immediate effect, succeeding Panagiotis Baltakos at the helm. Aged 41, he is the youngest president in the 99-year history of the HFF.
"We start working right away, as there is no time to lose," he said after assuming office. "We must be more extrovert and become a federation that is looked upon with a positive frame of mind. But that can only be achieved if we work together. Our work in the next four years will show our true potential."
