UEFA and the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) have launched a groundbreaking three-year partnership at a workshop in Düsseldorf, Germany, held alongside UEFA EURO 2024.

As part of the collaboration, UEFA and OFC will work together to improve football management within the OFC's capacity-building programmes, as well as football development through OFC Under-15 tournaments.

A workshop on football management was held on 17 and 18 June in Düsseldorf to kick-start the collaboration, focusing on high-performance leadership and high-performance member associations, including best practice case studies. Sessions were designed with an innovative and interactive approach to encourage participants to freely exchange ideas.

"This marks a new chapter in our long-term partnership with OFC, a confederation which is incredibly driven, has ambitious goals and a clear mission to further professionalise its member associations' administration and develop youth football over the next three years."

Emily Shaw, UEFA head of executive office and international relations

"The programmes were interactive, which showed active participation from all. There were great learnings in terms of workload and delegation."
