CEDB meeting of 17 June

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has taken the following decisions affecting the attendance of supporters at UEFA matches :

Match: UEFA Champions League 2023/2024, Paris Saint-Germain vs. Borussia Dortmund (0:1), 07.05.2024

Charges against Paris Saint-Germain:

  • Lighting of fireworks, Art. 16(2)(c) DR

Decision:

The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided:

- to order the enforcement of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in its decision of 10 November 2023 for lighting of fireworks, i.e. to order the partial closure of Paris SaintGermain’s stadium (i.e. the entire Tribune Auteuil, upper and lower sectors) during the next UEFA competition match in which Paris Saint-Germain plays as host club.

- to fine Paris Saint-Germain €50,000 and to order the partial closure of Paris Saint Germain’s stadium (i.e. the entire Tribune Auteuil, upper and lower sectors) during the next UEFA competition match in which Paris Saint-Germain plays as host club, for lighting of fireworks. Said partial stadium closure is suspended during a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.

Charges against Borussia Dortmund:

  • Acts of damage, Art. 16(2)(f) DR

Decision:

The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided:

- to fine Borussia Dortmund €10,500 for acts of damage.

Match: 2024 UEFA Europa Conference League Final, Olympiacos FC vs. ACF Fiorentina (1:0), 29.05.2024

Charges against ACF Fiorentina:

  • Acts of damage, Art. 16(2)(f) DR
  • Throwing of objects, Art. 16(2)(b) DR

Decision:

The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided:

- To fine ACF Fiorentina €35,000 and to ban ACF Fiorentina from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next (1) UEFA competition match, for acts of damage and throwing of objects. Said ban from selling tickets to its away supporters is suspended for a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.

- To order ACF Fiorentina to contact the host club, i.e. AEK Athens FC, within 30 days from the notification of this decision for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters, i.e. for the 28 broken seats.

* Disciplinary measures under a probationary period are not immediately effective but may be enforced if “a further offence of a similar nature is committed during the probationary period” (cf. Article 26(3) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations).

Charges against Olympiacos FC:

  • Acts of damage, Art. 16(2)(f) DR
  • Throwing of objects, Art. 16(2)(b) DR

Decision:

The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided:

- To fine Olympiacos FC €5,000 for acts of damage.

- To order Olympiacos FC to contact the host club, i.e. AEK Athens FC, within 30 days from the notification of this decision for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters, i.e. for the 125 broken seats, the broken plexi-glass and the damages caused in the sanitary facilities.

- To fine Olympiacos FC €10,000 for throwing of objects.
