CEDB decision affecting the attendance of supporters at UEFA matches

CEDB meeting of 28 February

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has taken the following decision potentially affecting the attendance of supporters at UEFA matches:

Match: UCL S.S. Lazio vs. FC Bayern München, 14.02.2024

Incidents:

- Lighting of fireworks, Art. 16(2)(c ) DR

- Throwing of objects, Art. 16(2)(b) DR

- Rough play (Mr. Dayot Upamecano), Art. 15(1)(a)(ii) DR

Decision:

- To order the enforcement of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in its decision of 16 October 2023 (DC 37556), for lighting of fireworks and throwing of objects, i.e. to ban FC Bayern München from selling tickets to its away-supporters for its next (1) UEFA club competition match.

- To fine FC Bayern München €10,500 for throwing of objects.

- To fine FC Bayern München €40,250 for lighting of fireworks.

- To suspend FC Bayern München player, Mr. Dayot Upamecano, for a total of one (1) UEFA club competition match for which he would otherwise be eligible, for rough play.

Match: FC Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Olympique de Marseille (2:2), 15.02.2024

Incidents:

- Lighting of fireworks, Art. 16(2)(c ) DR

Decision:

- To fine Olympique de Marseille €50,000 and to ban Olympique de Marseille from selling tickets to its away-supporters for the next (1) UEFA competition match, for lighting of fireworks. Said ban from selling tickets to its away supporters is suspended for a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.

Match: SK Sturm Graz vs. ŠK Slovan Bratislava, 15.02.2024

Incidents:

- Acts of damage, Art. 16(2)(f) DR

- Lighting of an object, Art. 16(2)(c ) DR

- Rough play (Mr. Vladimír Weiss), Art. 15(1)(a)(ii) DR

Decision:

- To suspend ŠK Slovan Bratislava player, Mr. Vladimir Weiss, for a total of (1) UEFA club competition match for which he would be otherwise eligible, for rough play.

- To ban ŠK Slovan Bratislava from selling tickets to its away supporters for the next (1) UEFA competition match, for acts of damage and lighting of fireworks.

- To fine ŠK Slovan Bratislava €20,000 for acts of damage.

- To order ŠK Slovan Bratislava to contact SK Sturm Graz within 30 days for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters (i.e. for the demolished toilets and the damage of the stadium’s infrastructure).

- To fine ŠK Slovan Bratislava €3,750 for lighting of fireworks.
