Miguel Ángel Gil Marín is the CEO of Club Atlético de Madrid, a position he has occupied since 2002. He has also been the club's majority shareholder for the past 20 years.
Under his stewardship, Atlético have won ten trophies, including two Spanish LaLiga championships, three editions of the UEFA Europa League and three UEFA Super Cups. The club also twice reached the UEFA Champions League final, in 2014 and 2016.
Off the pitch, Gil Marín led Atlético's move in 2017 to the Metropolitano stadium, which hosted the UEFA Champions League final two years later. In 2010 he was recognised as best director at the Globe Soccer Awards.
