On 6 October 2023, the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body took the following decisions after two protests were lodged by the Portuguese Football Federation and the Football Association of Finland after their respective UEFA European Qualifying Competition match for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup against the Futsal national teams of the Georgian Football Federation and of the Football Federation of Armenia:
1. To declare the UEFA European Qualifying Competition match for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup between the Futsal national teams of the Portuguese Football Federation and the Georgian Football Federation, that was played on 20 September 2023, as forfeited by the Georgian Football Federation Futsal national team, who is therefore deemed to have lost the match 5-0 in accordance with Articles 27(3) and 27(4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, for the violation of Article 38 of the Regulations of the UEFA European Qualifying Competition for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
2. To declare the UEFA European Qualifying Competition match for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup between the Futsal national teams of the Football Federation of Armenia and the Football Association of Finland, that was played on 20 September 2023, as forfeited by the Football Federation of Armenia Futsal national team, who is therefore deemed to have lost the match 0-5 in accordance with Articles 27(3) and 27(4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, for the violation of Article 38 of the Regulations of the UEFA European Qualifying Competition for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
