Thura Win is a non-executive director, representing the national game, on the English Football Association's main board and his roles at the FA include: vice-chair of the national game board; member of the judicial panel, chair of the disciplinary sub-committee of the football regulatory authority; the national game disciplinary chair; and, until June 2023, member of the women's football board.

He chairs serious case disciplinary commissions and general appeal boards for the FA. Thura is also the chair of the Women's Football Conference and a league in the women's football pyramid; the senior independent director of Sussex County Football Association, who he represents on the English FA Council; and a UEFA Match Delegate.

Thura has Master of Laws (LLM) degree in sports law, and he is a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).
