Aleksander Čeferin, UEFA president:
Welcome to Prague for the UEFA Europa Conference League final!
The capital of Czechia’s ancient splendour and beauty are beyond comparison and make a fitting, magical stage for this year’s grand finale. I sincerely thank the Football Association of the Czech Republic and its president, Petr Fousek, for their hospitality and all the hard work done to make this happen.
After an astonishing opening season, UEFA’s youngest club competition continues to blossom, promoting the magic of European football nights across the entire continent.
Two amazing clubs have emerged from a series of fierce contests to reach the final, eager to finally quench a decades-long desire for European silverware. With so much at stake, the fans of both sides dream about a heroic performance from their idols which will go down in the history books.
This is precisely what football is all about. So, without further ado, let’s all hop on the roller coaster that will take us through this high-octane festival of skill and emotions. May the best team win!
Petr Fousek, FAČR president:
Vítejte v Praze! It is a great honour for me that Prague, the capital of Czechia, will host the final of this year’s UEFA Europa Conference League. We greatly appreciate the success of our candidacy and we will do our best to make this match an unforgettable experience for both teams, their fans, UEFA officials and every guest who visits our beautiful country for such a prestigious match.
Hosting the UEFA Europa Conference League final holds an extraordinary prestige for our association and the whole country. Prague will become the capital of European football on 7 June. I have no doubt that we will see a great spectacle at the Eden Arena. We will also offer our traditional Czech hospitality and prove our love of football to all those who come to Prague.
We certainly have something to offer in Czechia – not least because of the organisational experience gained from staging previous international events here. Hosting them fits in with our association’s ambitions and priorities: to bring top European football to Czechia.
I wish both finalists, their fans and all guests visiting Prague a unique sporting experience at the heart of Europe.
