AB decisions affecting the attendance of supporters to UEFA matches

The Appeals Body has announced the following decisions which would affect the attendance of supporters to UEFA matches.


Match: Olympique de Marseille vs. Eintracht Frankfurt (0:1), 13.09.2022

Decision:

Olympique de Marseille:

- To order the enforcement of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in its decision of 8 June 2022 (i.e. to order Olympique de Marseille to play its next (1) UEFA club competition match in which Olympique de Marseille would play as host club behind closed doors), in accordance with Article 26(3) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.

- To order the partial closure of the Olympique de Marseille stadium (i.e. the entire Virage Nord) during the subsequent (1) UEFA club competition match in which Olympique de Marseille would play as host club, for lighting of fireworks, throwing of objects, use of laser pointers, crowd disturbances and blocking of public passageways.

Eintracht Frankfurt:

- To fine Eintracht Frankfurt €15,000, to order the partial closure of the Eintracht Frankfurt stadium, which shall at least comprehend 1,000 seats, during the next one (1) UEFA competition match in which Eintracht Frankfurt will play as host club. Said partial stadium closure is suspended during a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the present decision.

- To ban Eintracht Frankfurt from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next (1) UEFA competition match, for racist behaviour. Said ban from selling tickets to its away supporters is suspended during a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the present decision.

- To fine Eintracht Frankfurt €30,000 for lighting of fireworks, throwing of objects and acts of damage.

- To order Eintracht Frankfurt to contact Olympique de Marseille within 30 days for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters, i.e. for the damaged seats.

OGC Nice vs. 1. FC Köln (1:1), 08.09.2022

FK Partizan vs. OGC Nice, (1:1), 15.09.2022

Decision:

OGC Nice

- To combine the disciplinary cases and issue one comprehensive decision.

- To order OGC Nice to play its next one (1) UEFA club competition match in which OGC Nice would play as host club behind closed doors and to ban OGC Nice from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next (1) UEFA competition match, for racist behaviour, throwing of objects, lighting of fireworks, crowd disturbances, insufficient limitation of spectator movement, failure to adequately screen and/or search spectators, insufficient number of security personnel, lack of identification of persons responsible and blocking of public passageways.

- To order OGC Nice to implement the following directive in the next UEFA competition match in which OGC Nice will play as host club: to display a banner with the wording “#NoToRacism”, with the UEFA logo on it.

Match: OGC Nice vs. 1. FC Köln (1:1), 08.09.2022

Decision:

FC Köln

To fine 1. FC Köln €100,000 and to ban 1. FC Köln from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next two (2) UEFA competition matches, for lighting of fireworks, throwing of objects and crowd disturbances.

Match: FK Partizan vs. OGC Nice, (1:1), 15.09.2022

Decision:

FK Partizan

- To fine FK Partizan €20,000 and to order the partial closure of FK Partizan stadium, during the next (1) UEFA club competition match in which FK Partizan would play as the host club, for the discriminatory behaviour of its supporters. FK Partizan shall inform prior to the match, the sector(s) to be closed, which shall consist of at least 6,000 seats.

- To order FK Partizan to implement the following directive in the next UEFA club competition match which the club shall play as the host club: to display a banner with the wording “#EqualGame”, with the UEFA logo on it.

- To fine FK Partizan €50,000 for throwing of objects, lighting of fireworks, blocking of public passageways and the use of laser pointer.

Match: Paris Saint-Germain vs. Juventus (2:1) 06.09.2022

Decision:

Juventus:

- To fine Juventus €15,000 and to order the partial stadium closure of Juventus stadium, which shall consist of at least 1,000 seats, during the next one (1) UEFA competition match in which Juventus would play as host club, for the racist behaviour of its supporters. Said partial stadium closure is suspended during a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the present decision.

- To ban Juventus from selling tickets to its away supporters for the next one (1) UEFA competition match, for the racist behaviour of its supporters. Said ban from selling tickets to its away supporters is suspended during a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the present decision.
