The UEFA Appeals Body has today announced the following decisions which would affect the attendance of supporters at UEFA matches:
Match: UEFA Europa Conference League match, Olympique de Marseille v PAOK FC, played on 7 April 2022 in France:
Decision - Olympique de Marseille:
- To order the partial stadium closure of the Olympique de Marseille stadium, which shall consist of the entire Virage Nord, during the next one (1) UEFA competition match in which Olympique de Marseille would play as host club and to fine Olympique de Marseille €80,000 for the lighting of fireworks, throwing of objects and crowd disturbances.
- To fine Olympique de Marseille €18,000 for the blocking of public passageways.
Decision - PAOK FC:
- To ban PAOK FC from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next one (1) UEFA club competition match and to fine PAOK FC €50,000 for throwing of objects, lighting of fireworks, acts of damage and crowd disturbances.
- Said ban from selling tickets to its away supporters is subject to a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.
- To order PAOK FC to contact Olympique de Marseille within 30 days for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters.
