Four-year term for Kulesza in Poland

The 59-year-old former president of Polish top-flight club Jagiellonia Białystok succeeds Zbigniew Boniek, who steps down after nine years at the PZPN’s helm after reaching the maximum limit of two terms of office.

Kulesza, who was elected for a four-year term, was born in Wysokie Mazowieckie. He started his football career with Gwardia Białystok and then played for Jagiellonia Białystok, appearing 14 times in Poland’s Ekstraklasa top division. Kulesza became Jagiellonia’s president in 2010, and stepped down in June this year.

The new PZPN president said that he would focus on four key pillars – football education, support, integration and professionalisation.

“My goal is to unite all parts of Polish football,” he said. “I wish for us to be one whole football family.”
