Brief homecoming
Almeyda left FC Internazionale in June when his contract with the Nerazzurri expired. The former CA River Plate player returned home to join CA Independiente but left the Buenos Aires club for personal reasons without making his debut. He has now moved back to Italy where he previously played for S.S. Lazio, winning the title in 2000, and Parma FC. He follows former Inter defender Daniele Adani, another free-transfer signing, to Brescia.
