Members

A 5-3 win against FC Obolon Kyiv saw FC Dynamo Kyiv keep pace with league leaders FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

Dramatic second half
Dynamo took a 4-0 lead into the half-time interval against their city rivals but were given a nasty shock after the interval as the visitors pulled back three goals. Croatian midfield player Jerko Leko finally steadied Dynamo's nerves by scoring what proved to be the decisive fifth goal.

No stopping Shakhtar
Reigning champions Shakhtar remain four points clear of their old rivals at the top of the table after a comprehensive 5-0 win against FC Olexandriya. Olexiy Byelik found the target twice for the Donetsk side to take him to the top of the Ukrainian Premier League scorers charts with 16 goals.

Apkhazava boosts Arsenal
Georgian striker Shalva Apkhazava is also in fine goal-scoring form, as he plundered his 13th of the season to give FC Arsenal Kyiv a 1-0 victory against in-form FC Chornomorets Odesa. Another Georgian striker, Georgi Demetradze, also scored the winner as FC Metalurh Donetsk beat FC Metalurh Zaporizhya 1-0.

Hope for Dnipro
Elsewhere, FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk kept their UEFA Cup dreams alive as they beat FC Metalist Kharkiv 2-0, while FC Kryvbas Kryviy Rih beat FC Karpaty Lviv 2-0. Goals were at a premium in the games between FC Volyn Lutsk and FC Vorskla Poltava and FC Tavriya Simferopol's against FC Illichivets Mariupil - both encounters ended 0-0.
