Members

AFC Rapid Bucuresti remained top of the table with a 2-0 home win against FCM Bacau on Sunday.

Former FCM Bacau striker Valentin Badoi scored against his old club as AFC Rapid Bucuresti remained top of the table with a 2-0 home win against the Divizia A strugglers on Sunday.

Summer signing
Badoi, who left Bacau for Rapid in the summer, opened the scoring in the 29th minute before Florin Bratu doubled the lead to keep Bacau, who had Stelian Isac sent off midway through the second half, penned in 15th place.

Dinamo on the up
In the day's other game, FC Dinamo Bucuresti recorded a 2-0 away win against stubborn FC National Bucuresti, who had only conceded four goals in their previous seven games. A goal in each half from Vlad Munteanu and Gabriel Tama did the damage for champions Dinamo, who climb to eighth in the table.

Steaua recover
On Saturday FC Steaua Bucuresti bounced back from the resignation of coach Cosmin Olaroiu to record their third victory of the season, a 3-2 win away at FC Arges-Dacia Pitesti. N'Gassan Falemi put Steaua on the road to victory in the tenth minute and Claudiu Raducanu doubled the lead from the penalty spot. Milorad Bukvic's 71st minute goal for the hosts was quickly cancelled out by Eugen Trica and although Cristian Balasa scored an 89th-minute goal for Arges, it came too late to spark a revival - even though visiting defender George Ogararu was sent of at the death.

Gloria march on
Elsewhere, FC Gloria Bistrita marched to their third successive victory, a 2-0 triumph against SC Astra Ploiesti, thanks to two first-half goals from Sandu Negrean - the first from the penalty spot. UTA Arad drew 1-1 at home with FC Universitatea Craiova, pegging back Adrian Baldovin's eighth-minute goal for the visitors by virtue of a 76th-minute Ion Vladoiu equaliser.

Home heroics
FC Farul Constanta coasted to a 3-1 home win against FC Politehnica Timisoara thanks to goals from Milos Bogdanovic, Ionut Badescu and Vasile Cristocea. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt also cruised to victory at home, recording a 4-0 win against CS Otelul Galati with Marian Purica, Mihai Botan and Adrian Solomon (2) all on target.

Stanca stop
In a dramatic game in the capital, CF Sportul Studentesc fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to FC Brasov. Razvan Stanca saved a sixth-minute penalty from Daniel Isaila but was unable to prevent Mihai Stere opening the scoring on the stroke of half-time. Sportul equalised five minutes after the break through Octavian Chihaia but Marcel Onofras soon put Brasov back in command.
