Bosnia-Herzegovina round-up: Leotar keep lead intact

FK Leotar stayed at the top of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Premier League at the weekend.

FK Leotar’s 2-0 defeat of NK Orašje on Saturday was enough to ensure they stayed top of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Premier League.

Joksimovic double
Igor Joksimovic was the hero, opening the scoring for the hosts on 34 minutes and adding a second five minutes after the hour mark.

Široki second
NK Široki Brijeg, meanwhile, steamrollered NK Zrinjski 4-0 on Sunday to go second with strikes from Miro Katic, Mirko Hrgovic, Nikola Juricic and Vinko Cosic.

Željeznicar in touch
NK Željeznicar crushed NK Jedinstvo 6-2 to stay in touch with the pacesetters, opening the scoring through a Sergej Tica on 18 minutes and racing ahead with a further two goals before half-time.

Demolition complete
Ervin Smajilagic pulled one back on 55 minutes but Dzelaludin Muharemovic struck four minutes later before Muharemovic and Dalibor Silic completing the rout after Vahidin Cahtarevic had struck the vistors’ second.

Glasinak destroyed
FK Celik climbed to fourth with a 4-0 home demolition of FK Glasinac, Anes Zukic struck twice in the first half and Dzemal Tabakovic and Elvedin Beganovic each added to the tally. FK Sloboda Tuzla collected only their third win of the season with a 3-0 home defeat of FK Buducnost Banovici, Asmir Dzafic striking in each half with Samir Cemalovic grabbing a goal in between.

Comfortable victory
There was other comfortable win for FK Rudar Ugljevik, who beat FK Kozara 3-1, two goals coming from the penalty spot courtesy of  Zoran Djuricic and the third from Miroslav Jeftic on 82nd minutes.

Sarajlic double
In the remaining fixtures, FK Borac Banja Luka beat NK Posušje 2-1 and NK Bosna went down 3-2 at home to NK Mladost, FK Sloboda Tuzla despatched NK Brotnjo 3-0 with two goals from Adnan Sarajlic, either side of a Samir Kuduzovic header on 43 minutes while the meeting between NK Zepce and FK Sarajevo ended in a draw.
