Vittek scores twice
Vittek struck six minutes before the break to give his side a half-time lead and then doubled his and Slovan's tally with 16 minutes left to dent Inter's UEFA Cup ambitions.
Ruzomberok triumph
MŠK Ruzomberok won 2-1 against FK Dukla Trencín thanks to Peter Jurco's goal 10 minutes from time. Ján Safranko put Ruzomberok ahead on 54 minutes only for Juraj Ancic to score on the hour. But it was Jurco's late strike that proved decisive as the home side held on for three points.
Tatran win away
Roman Lazur secured a 2-1 victory for FC Tatran Prešov at home to 1. FC Košice. Vladislav Zvara shot the visitors in front on the half-hour, but Lubomir Mati levelled from the penalty spot three minutes before the break. Lazur's goal six minutes from time sealed the points for Tatran.
Petrzalka thwarted
In today's other games, FK ZTS Dubnica outlasted title challengers FC Artmedia Petrzalka courtesy of an 82nd-minute goal from Petr Lysacek. ŠKM Púchov drew 1-1 at home to MŠK Zilina after Lubomír Pernis cancelled out Martin Durica's first-half opener.
