CSKA Moscow moved to the top of the table after beating FC Zenit St. Petersburg 1-0 on Sunday.

CSKA Moscow made it three wins from three to move top of the Russian Premier-Liga after sinking FC Zenit St. Petersburg with a last-minute goal from Rolan Gusev.

Gusev strike
Zenit, who have so far failed to find the form that took them to within touching distance of the title last season, looked to have secured a goalless draw against one of the league's early pace-setters. But with a minute remaining, midfield player Gusev made his decisive intervention. CSKA go two points clear at the top, ahead of city rivals FC Spartak Moscow and FC Lokomotiv Moscow.

Torpedo in charge
Two goals in three minutes settled the Moscow derby as FC Torpedo Moscow ran out 2-0 winners over Dinamo Moscow. Karzn Oganian struck the opening goal in the 42nd minute, before Maksim Aristarkhov made sure of the points with a second on the stroke of half-time.

Rotor come from behind
SC Rotor Volgograd came from behind to beat FC Sokol Saratov 2-1 thanks to goals from Roman Pavliuchenko and Eugeni Aldonin. Kazakhstani midfield player Ruslan Baltiev had earlier put Saratov in front but his side were unable to hold on to their advantage. FC Anzhi Makhachkala and FC Torpedo-ZIL Moscow played out a goalless draw in Sunday's other game.
