PFC Litex Lovech failed to close the gap on the top two in Bulgaria after being held to a goalless draw by PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Exciting affair
Despite the lack of goals on Sunday, it was an exciting affair with the hosts Plovdiv creating the better opportunities. Litex stay third, two points behind second-placed PFC CSKA Sofia, and seven short of the leaders PFC Levski Sofia. Plovdiv stay fifth.
Powerful shot
In the first half, Metodi Stoinev had a powerful shot well saved by Vitomir Vutov in the Litex goal. Two minutes later Vutov came to the rescue again, as he smothered a close range effort from Chavdar Atanasov.
Fine saves
After the break it was Lokomotiv who started where they had left off, but Vutov was on hand to make two more fine saves before Litex, who played most of the game looking to counter-attack, nearly stole all three points at the death. Marin Petrov broke free for Litex but was unable to add the finishing touch.
