Late winner
Coskun Birdal was the Denizlispor hero, driving the ball into an empty net two minutes from time after the Trabzonspor goalkeeper dropped a corner from Ali Tandogan.
Neutral venue
Trabzonspor, drawn at home, were forced to play the game at a neutral venue as punishment for the recent misbehaviour of a section of the club's support. Without the backing of the Avni Aker stadium faithful they failed to impress, Hami Mandirali wasting their best opportunities.
Remaining fixtures
The other three ties will be played on Wednesday. High-flying Besiktas JK face Gaziantepspor and giant-killers Erzurumspor travel to Kocaelispor. Second division side Adanaspor AS will tackle Istanbulspor AS in the other quarter-final tie.
