The UEFA Training Ground has collated the most important grassroots dates for your diary from UEFA's 53 member national associations and European Football's governing body itself, in our unique grassroots calendar.
From the annual Summer of Grassroots Football to the numerous events organised around Europe for UEFA Grassroots Day and the key activities scheduled as part of the national associations' own grassroots programmes, the UEFA Training Ground will have details of the activities to look out for. While the calendar also lists details of upcoming UEFA-organised events, such as meetings which form part of the successful UEFA Study Group Scheme.
The Summer of Grassroots Football was a scheme borne out of UEFA's Jubilee celebrations in 2004. In June, July and August of that year, and annually ever since, UEFA has worked with the national associations to highlight grassroots football through various activities all over Europe, be it tournaments for young players, football schools or summer camps. Since its launch, more than 14 million participants have been involved in the events associated with the campaign.
Since its inaugural staging in May 2010, UEFA Grassroots Day is another key event in the grassroots calendar. Much more than just one event however, activities are organised throughout the 53 associations, all emphasising the link between grassroots and the highest level in the week of the UEFA Champions League final. Approved by the UEFA Executive Committee, UEFA Grassroots Day is a celebration of grassroots football and the UEFA Training Ground's grassroots calendar has details of all of the key events taking place.
