Barda to play for Haifa

Maccabi Haifa FC have brought striker Elyaniv Barda to the Kiryat Eliazer stadium from Hapoel Beer-Sheva.

Shared interest
The striker has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the defending champions even though the transfer fee gives them only a 40 per cent share in the player. Beer-Sheva will also retain a 40 per cent interest in the 21-year-old, with Barda himself holding the other 20 per cent. The youngster could make his debut in Saturday's league game at Maccabi Netanya.

Ghanaian imports
Meanwhile, M. Haifa have allowed right-back Kamal Gabarin to join second division Maccabi Herzliya on loan until the end of the season. Elsewhere in the Ligat ha-Al, Netanya have agreed a deal with 19-year-old Ghanaian centre-back Imoro Lukman, while Lukman's compatriot John Pantsil, 20, has joined Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Defensive reinforcements
Hapoel Kfar-Saba have drafted in Brazilian defender Djair Batista Machado, previously with CF Os Belenenses in Portugal, while Hapoel Petach-Tikva have snapped up the former NK Zagreb defender Admir Hasancic.
