Despite riding high in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur FC face an FA Cup fifth round replay after being held to a goalless draw by third-tier Stevenage FC.
Harry Redknapp's men beat Newcastle United FC 5-0 last weekend and lie third in the top tier, but they were unable to find a way past a well-organised Stevenage side on Sunday. The north London outfit did engineer a handful of chances, Michael Dawson going particularly close, but they must now overcome Stevenage at White Hart Lane if they are to book a last-eight date at home to Bolton Wanderers FC.
The winners in the day's other two ties, Liverpool FC and Stoke City FC, will lock horns in their own quarter-final, meanwhile. Stoke, last season's runners-up, beat fourth-tier Crawley Town FC 2-0 despite the first-half dismissal of Rory Delap, while the Reds defeated Brighton and Hove Albion FC 6-1 with the help of three own goals.
