Robinho scored twice as AC Milan defeated Cagliari Calcio 4-1 in their final home game of the season.
There was a party atmosphere at San Siro for a match which Milan travelled to in an open-top bus from the Piazza Duomo as up to 50,000 fans lined the streets to salute the 2011 Serie A champions.
Having celebrated the Rossoneri's 18th Scudetto last weekend, the Milan faithful saw their team open the scoring midway through the first half, Robinho cutting inside three defenders and unleashing a shot into the bottom corner.
Gattuso swiftly doubled the advantage − only his second league goal since January 2008 − before Pato set up Robinho to sweep past keeper Michael Agazzi. Andrea Cossu replied for mid-table Cagliari, though that was only a consolation as Clarence Seedorf restored the Diavolo's three-goal lead late on.
Earlier, S.S. Lazio ended a run of three successive defeats with a 4-2 home win against Genoa CFC, a result which lifts them into Serie A's fourth and final UEFA Champions League spot. Hernanes was among the scorers for the Biancocelesti with his tenth and 11th league goals of the campaign.
