ACF Fiorentina have completed the signing of Polish international goalkeeper Artur Boruc from Celtic FC for an undisclosed fee.
The former Legia Warszawa No1 has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Serie A outfit after passing a medical and will immediately link up with his new team-mates for pre-season training. The 30-year-old will compete with Sébastien Frey for the goalkeeping jersey, something he has experience of having had to ward off the challenge of compatriot Łukasz Załuska at Celtic last term. Boruc made 162 Premier League appearances for the Hoops in five seasons in Scotland, winning three championships and the 2006 Scottish Cup.
