'Dream come true'
The 23-year-old, who is capable of playing as a right-back or in midfield, has signed a five-year contract at Upton Park, saying: "For me it is a dream come true to play for the club and in the Premier League. I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the team here." Born in the former Yugoslavia, Behrami and his family moved to Switzerland when he was a child, and he has scored twice in 19 games for his adopted home country, playing three matches at UEFA EURO 2008™. The former Lugano FC and Genoa CFC player scored four goals in 65 league games for Lazio after signing from Hellas-Verona FC in 2005.
