AS Nancy-Lorraine have signed defender Jean Calvé from Le Mans UC 72 on a four-year contract.
European chance
Calvé joins the UEFA Cup contenders as a free agent and gains the chance to play European football for the first time. "Nancy will play in the UEFA Cup and I hope this will take me up another step in my career," the 24-year-old right-back said. Calvé made 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Le Mans this past season – his second at the club – after starting his career at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.
