Swiss international midfielder Blerim Dzemaili is expected to be out of action for six months after tearing cruciate ligaments in training at FC Zürich.

Knee injury
The 21-year-old will undergo surgery within the week after rupturing ligaments in his right knee on Saturday morning. The Swiss league leaders will now be without the six-times capped international for the remainder of the season. Dzemaili has scored twice in 23 league games this season.

Bolton move
The defensive midfielder will also miss UEFA EURO 2008™ co-hosts Switzerland's international friendly games against Argentina and the Netherlands, on 2 June and 22 August respectively, as well as the four-team friendly tournament in Austria in September. Dzemaili will join Premiership side Bolton Wanderers FC in the summer, having signed a two-year contract.
