French side RC Lens have signed right-back Fabien Laurenti from second division side AC Ajaccio as they prepare for the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
Key defender
The 24-year-old was a key player for the Corsican side last season, playing in 32 games under coach Ruud Krol. The Marseille-born defender has signed a four-year contract with Lens with an undisclosed fee having been paid. Lens have already signed Kanga Akalé, Vedran Runje and Julien Sablé as they prepare to start their UEFA Intertoto Cup campaign in the third round on 21 and 28 July. Lens finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season and will be led by legendary former AJ Auxerre coach Guy Roux in the coming campaign.
