Injury setback
The 18-year-old had been told that he would be out for six weeks after breaking a bone in his foot in the UEFA Champions League game against Newcastle United FC in March. However, he recently suffered a setback in his recuperation and today underwent surgery in a bid to cure the problem.
Euro blow
Iniesta sustained the fracture when he fell awkwardly during Barcelona's 2-0 win at St James' Park - the youngster's third Champions League appearance of the campaign. A versatile player, he had been promoted to the first-team squad in September from the club's B team.
