FC Dynamo Kyiv and FC Shakhtar Donetsk are still battling it out for the Ukrainian title after the restart to the season with each winning over FC Zakarpattya and FC Vorskla Poltava respectively.
Double for Peev
Dynamo were 5-0 winners at home to the division's basement boys with a brave from Gueorgui Peev added to strikes from Florin Cernat, Maxym Shatskikh and Serhiy Serebrennikov. Victory was not so straightforward for Shakhtar who had to wait until the 68th minute to take the lead, through Serhiy Popov. Andriy Vorobey scored twice in the 80th and 85th minutes before Olexiy Pestriakov added the fourth with no reply in injury time.
