Talks on Wednesday
Carbone had earlier rejected the move, stating that he only wanted a permanent deal. The 30-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday FC and Internazionale FC player met Middlesbrough manager Steve McLaren on Wednesday, but the two parties failed to reach an agreement.
Could face Leeds
However, Carbone has now decided to make the move and will sign on Friday morning. It is expected that the player will make his debut for the relegation- threatened Teessiders on Saturday when they play Leeds United AFC at the Riverside Stadium.
Second loan spell
This will be second loan spell of the season for Carbone, the highest earner at first division Bradford, who recently completed a three-month spell with another Premiership struggler, Derby County FC.
