Imagine the scene of the UEFA EURO 2016 final in Saint-Denis on 10 July. The winning goal is scored and triggers celebration or despair for millions of football fans, whether watching in the stadium, in fanzones around France or in front of their television sets.
However, all that can only come together thanks to the passion, purpose and pride of UEFA employees working in many diverse areas. Find out just how many are involved through the UEFA People project, which will bring you exclusive content from behind the scenes of our major competitions to better inform you about the work we do, and perhaps inspire you to take up a career in football.
"Without great staff, UEFA would not be able to achieve what it does, so it's important to work with our talent acquisition partners to communicate that," said UEFA senior HR manager Jason Evans. "By sharing the unique moments and precious experiences of staff, we also hope to boost our talent acquisition strategy for the future, including the laying of strong foundations for UEFA EURO 2020, which will take place in 13 different countries across Europe."
A range of video content, infographics and photography will showcase these roles here on UEFA's official website and also on our LinkedIn page. Special microsites are also live on GlobalSportsJobs and Onlymarketingjobs.com, which will connect with specialists in their field to show how they can turn a passion for football into their profession. It will also be represented on the website of Proman.
That goal in the EURO final is one that touches so many roles in the organisation. Football development in the country will have been done by the national association working with UEFA. The images beamed around the world are done so through the work of UEFA's TV Production team and the way you are likely to consume it, on digital platforms, takes technological expertise and editorial skill. The supporters in the stadium will likely take advantage of the connectivity network – established by UEFA employees – at the venue to send photos of themselves as they celebrate football.
Every moment of passion and emotion felt by the players is matched by the motivation and drive of UEFA people. Join them on their journey and find out more about what it means to represent the organisation.
