Flora Tallinn won their tenth Estonian title with 1-0 success against Infonet after their only remaining title rivals Levadia had drawn 0-0 draw at lowly Pärnu Linnameeskond.
After Infonet goalkeeper Mihhail Lavrentjev could only parry a long-range shot on 63 minutes, midfielder Joseph Saliste slotted home the rebound, the 1-0 win leaving Flora eight points clear of 2014 champions Levadia with two games to play. Flora now lead Levadia 10-9 in terms of national titles.
"Knowing Levadia had drawn, we wanted to seal the title today, of course," said 32-year-old coach Norbert Hurt, in his third year in charge of Flora, who last won the title in 2011. "These are strong emotions, impossible to describe. The team had an exceptional season.
"The celebrations on the pitch after the final whistle were very touching," he added. "The feeling is great, but we have to finish the season well. We still have two matches left, including one against Levadia, so we need to find a way to focus."
