Málaga CF have announced they will part company with coach Bernd Schuster on 30 June, a year after the ex-West German international took charge at La Rosaleda.
Arriving at Málaga to replace the Manchester City FC-bound Manuel Pellegrini last summer, Schuster went on to lead the Boquerones to an 11th-place Liga finish during a season in which they managed 12 wins from 38 top-flight games.
A former midfielder with FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF and Club Atlético de Madrid, Schuster has enjoyed a well-travelled coaching career, with nine teams from four countries on the 54-year-old's managerial CV.
A Málaga statement read: "We would like to offer our thanks to the great work carried out by Schuster and his technical staff and for their efforts during what was a very difficult season."
