Milosevic magic derails Deportivo

Two Savo Milosevic goals helped ten-man CA Osasuna gain a shock win against RC Deportivo La Coruña at the Riazor in the Primera División on Sunday.

The visitors fell behind to a Walter Pandiani strike and when José Izquierdo was shown his second yellow card at the start of the second half many teams would have folded, but instead Osasuna continued to press. John Aloisi levelled the scores from the penalty spot before Milosevic silenced the vociferous home support four minutes later. The Serbia and Montenegro striker then extended the lead with an exquisite chip over José Molina on 80 minutes to leave Deportivo with just one point from their opening two fixtures.

Levante win
Primera División newcomers Levante UD also came from behind to win 3-1 against Racing Santander. David Aganzo opened the scoring for the visitors after 16 minutes, but Bernd Schuster's men were undaunted and three second-half goals from Vladimir Manchev, Ignacio Pérez and Felix Ettien gave the side their first victory of the season.

Maxi hat trick
The win leaves Levante in fifth, a place behind RCD Espanyol, who beat Real Betis Balompié 4-1 in Seville thanks largely to a hat-trick from Argentinian midfield player Maxi Rodríguez, while former FC Barcelona striker Dani García also found the net for the Catalans. Real Sociedad de Fútbol's visit to Villarreal CF and Málaga CF's match against Real Zaragzoa both ended goalless.

Levante victory
Getafe CF and Albacete Balompié both succumbed to their second successive defeats to remain rooted to the foot of the table. Newcomers Getafe lost 2-1 to RCD Mallorca with Luis García and Juan Arango netting for the islanders, while former Mallorca midfield player Arial Ibagaza was on target as Club Atlético de Madrid left it late against Albacete. The Argentinian's added-time goal doubled the lead that Fernando Torres had given the visitors four minutes earlier.
