42nd Ordinary UEFA Congress in Bratislava

004 - Election of one member of the UEFA Executive Committee for a one-year term

The 42nd Ordinary UEFA Congress will take place on Monday 26 February 2018 at the Incheba Expo, Viedenská cesta 3-7, in Bratislava, Slovakia. The Congress, which is UEFA’s supreme governing organ, meets annually and is made up of representatives from each of UEFA’s 55 member associations.

The event will start at 10.00CET and will approximately finish at 12.00CET. It will be followed by a press conference in the same location approximately 30 minutes upon completion of the Congress and will be attended by UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin.

The main items on the agenda for the 42nd Ordinary UEFA Congress include:

• Report of the UEFA President and the Executive Committee and report of the UEFA Administration 2016/17

• Reports of the committee chairmen

• Update on national team competitions

• Ratification of one representative of the EPFL on the UEFA Executive Committee

• Amendments to the UEFA Statutes

• Elections: 
  o UEFA Executive Committee (one member for a one-year term)
  o FIFA Council (one FIFA vice-president for a one-year term)

• Application of the Jersey Football Association for UEFA membership

Media wishing to request an accreditation for the Congress are requested to inform UEFA by sending an email to media.accreditations@uefa.ch with the words “UEFA Congress Bratislava” in the subject header by Friday 16 February 2018 at 12.00CET.

A limited number of seats in the Congress hall will be available for media representatives, who will be able to attend the whole session. The Congress will also be streamed live on UEFA.com. A media working area equipped with WiFi will be available.

Media wishing to bring along a SNG truck and/or broadcast via LiveU must inform UEFA Media & Public Relations by the afore-mentioned deadline.

Prior to the Congress, the UEFA Executive Committee will meet on the afternoon of Sunday 25 February 2018 at the Grand Hotel River Park in Bratislava. There are no media activities planned for this event.
