Davor Šuker has been re-elected as president of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS).
Šuker, who turned 50 on 1 January, won his latest mandate at the Croatian association's extraordinary assembly. He enjoyed a distinguished career as a player before taking the helm of Croatian football in 2012, and will now serve a new four-year term.
“I am very excited, we all know how important continuity is in the world of football“, said Šuker, a UEFA Executive Committee member, during the assembly. “We have achieved all major goals set by the association – the national team has reached the World Cup, and the competition system has been improved.
“The relationship with national stakeholders is also improving,” he added, “while relations with FIFA and UEFA have been of the highest level“.
