UEFA has redistributed all fines imposed for breaches of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations to clubs who participated in the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League (UCL) and UEFA Europa League (UEL).
In line with the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee of September 2014, 80% of the amounts withheld due to non-compliance with FFP rules have been distributed equally to clubs that played in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, and 20% of the amounts withheld have been distributed equally to clubs eliminated during the qualifying stages of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
Clubs that had ongoing settlement agreements or were under FFP disciplinary measures in 2016/17 were not entitled to receive these amounts.
For the 2016/17 season, the total amount of money withheld was €6,363,000 and this has been redistributed as follows:
• 80% (€5,090,400) for UCL/UEL group stage clubs (65) = approximately €78,300 per club
• 20% (€1,272,600) for UCL/UEL qualifying phase clubs (149) = approximately €8,540 per club
