Silvio Gazzaniga, the Italian sculptor who designed the iconic UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA World Cup trophies, has died at the age of 95 in his home city of Milan.
In an official statement, UEFA said: "Gazzaniga's work designing trophies as part of the Bertoni Workshop inspired millions and will continue to do so for many years to come. We wish to pay tribute to his vision and wonderful craftsmanship, and also to offer our sincere condolences to his family."
