The new UEFA Compliance and Investigation Activity Report 2013–2015, published this week and available here on UEFA.org, reviews a ground-breaking two years of club licensing and financial fair play developments for UEFA.
The extensive report reviews, in transparent detail, the implementation and assessment of UEFA's licensing system and financial fair play process for the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.
In particular, the report shows how the break-even requirement has been assessed and executed, lifting the veil on the conclusion and subsequent monitoring of the 23 settlement agreements in this period in the most transparent way possible.
This transparency concerning the activity and jurisprudence of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) extends in the 44 pages of the report to showcasing the questions and issues faced by the CFCB in respect of the break-even rule, and the responses provided to clubs.
The report also looks ahead to the 2015/16 season, when the number of cases dealt with by the CFCB for alleged breaches of the break-even requirement is expected to decrease.
Andrea Traverso, UEFA's head of club licensing and financial fair play, said: "We hope that this third bulletin provides useful and interesting insights into the compliance and monitoring activities performed in the last two years by the CFCB investigatory chamber, and further strengthens UEFA's continued efforts to increase transparency and good governance in European club football."
